About Me

I am a recent graduate from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where I earned my Master of Arts in Applied Geography and focused on public lands and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Currently, I am actively looking for an opportunity to begin a new career. Prior to entering graduate school, I worked in marketing and sales where I gained experience that I believe will be highly beneficial towards the type of work I want to do. The type of work I seek is best represented by my master’s thesis, which was titled “The Future of Our National Parks: How Do Millennials Feel About America’s Greatest Idea?” Essentially, I want to serve in a role that will increase the relevance and importance of our public lands—whether at the city, county, state, or federal level—with both current and, especially, future generations.

I love being outdoors and exploring the vast array of recreational opportunities on public lands that are available across the country, from neighborhood parks to our majestic collection of iconic national parks. My love for public lands is the reason I have volunteered with the Friends of the Florissant Fossil Beds—A non-profit supporting Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument in Florissant, CO—over the last two and a half years.
